My journey started as an anxious 20-something year old with a perfect college transcript and no idea what to do with my life. I worked as a guidance counselor for at-risk youth. I backpacked around the world for a year, hoping to have an Eat, Pray, Love-style epiphany on top of a mountain that would magically deliver instant clarity on my life’s purpose and a roadmap for my next steps.
It didn’t happen. I came home with a lifetime of memories and stunning photos, but no epiphanies.
Eventually, I found my way, by getting crystal clear clarity on that little diamond at the intersection of what I was good at, what skills workplaces would pay top dollar for and what I liked enough to do all day, every day, for many years.
Today, I’m a nonprofit executive, working on the best cause there is – helping others achieve their dreams. I regularly share my business expertise with major media outlets (most recently Forbes and CNBC) and Congress. I wake up every day feeling alive with growth and possibilities.
